OMAN vs. UAE

18th Gulf Cup 2007

Everyone was waiting for this Day, the last day of Gulf Cup 2007. Some traveled to Abu Dhabi to see the match live and some decorated their cars, some just talked about it over and over again. It was one of the most intense Matches i ever watched,, kept starring at the screen the whole time.. i felt the pressure and frustration the players felt, they tried to score several times and the ball just refused to go in the net ... we all prayed, wished and even begged for a GOAL !! I kept one mumbling "just one Goal... Please Just One...” one goal that would make us win the Match and the Cup... and there it Came the ball flew from Ismail Mattar's Foot (UAE National team Player) and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAL screamed the commentator.

The crowds went craaaaaaazy including us at home...loolz
I was jumping with joy, clapping and screaming and Hysterically smiling from ear to ear not believing what just happened..

The GULF CUP is ours, it happened on our land and the cup went to us,,It was about time to see the national team shinning in their performance and making us proud...

At this moment I wouldn’t trade my country, the people, the rulers and the land with any country in the world...

It is the time to say..."IM PROUD TO BE LOCAL and BE PART OF MY BEAUTIFUL U.A.E"
